A Lifesaver is trained to rescue drowning victims while ensuring personal safety and is capable of administering CPR and First Aid effectively.
The Open Water Lifesaver Training equips participants with essential skills for rescues in natural water bodies such as lakes, ponds, rivers, and beaches. Trainees learn safe water entry, swift and secure approach techniques, underwater search, and various rescue and revival methods. The course also includes complete first aid and emergency response protocols.
India needs more Open Water Lifesavers to make its water environments safer and to change the belief that “Life is cheap in India.”
Training Method: Theory + Practical + Exam
Duration: 30 Hours
Minimum Age: 14 Years
Prerequisites:
Swim 300 meters in 10 minutes
Swim 25 meters underwater
Tread water (eggbeater kick) for 2 minutes in deep water
500-meter beach run in 2 minutes (for Beach Lifesaver)
